Terms
The short version: this is a private space for readers of Avril Millar's work. Be decent, do not pass your sign-in link around, and do not republish her writing as though it were yours. The longer version is below.
What this is
Feral's Ground is a members area run by Avril Millar. It holds her writing, episodes of Ferals' Den, and a way to contact her directly. Membership is free. Nothing here is for sale, and nothing here is advice you should act on without thinking.
Getting in
There is no password. You give a name and an email address, and a sign-in link is sent to that address. Anyone who opens that link is signed in as you, so please do not forward it. Each link works once and expires after 30 minutes.
Use an email address you actually control, and give a name you are happy to be called. You do not have to use your legal name.
What you can do with what you find here
Everything here belongs to Avril Millar unless it says otherwise. You are welcome to read it, use it in your own life and work, quote it with attribution, and tell other people about it.
Please do not republish whole pieces, put her writing behind your own sign-up, pass downloads on as your own work, or feed this material into a system that reproduces it as somebody else's.
What is expected of you
Do not try to break into parts of the site that are not yours, do not use the contact form to send abuse or bulk mail, and do not use this site to harm anybody. That is the whole list.
What is not promised
This site is offered as it is. It will occasionally be down, content will change, and sections will come and go as Avril writes more.
What she writes is drawn from her own experience across five careers. It is not financial, legal, medical or therapeutic advice, and it is not a substitute for professional help from somebody who knows your circumstances. What you choose to do with any of it is your decision.
Leaving
You can stop using the site whenever you like, and you can ask for everything identifying you to be deleted. See the privacy notice for what that removes and how to ask.
Access may be withdrawn if the site is misused in the ways described above. If that happens you will be told why.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes any right you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by agreement.
Changes
These terms may change as the site grows. Anything that materially affects you will be flagged rather than slipped in. Last updated 12 August 2026.
